Day 01 – Arrival/ Negombo (01 Night) –

Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, travel to a convenient accommodation closer to the International Airport. Relax and rejuvenate yourself for the adventure awaiting you.

Day 02,03 & 04 – Sigiriya and Kingdom of Polonnaruwa (03 Nights) –

Sri Lanka’s well-known historic locations offer plenty of exposure to the rich history of the small, compact island. Explore Sigiriya or Pidurangala, Dambulla Cave Complex, and the ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa, which was one of the royal medieval capitals of the country.

                               

                                   

Day 05 & 06 – Kandy (02 Nights) –

The road from the Sigiriya to the country’s hill capital is scenic with few optional stops.

                               

Visit the Temple of the Tooth relic in Kandy, where a sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha enshrined since the 4th century AD. Religious services are held thrice a day with traditional drumming and music where the travelers can participate too.

You can wander around the beautiful Kandy lake while exploring the different types of birdlife. A visit to the Royal Botanical Garden would make you amazed by the flora & fauna on the magical island.

                 

Day 07 & 08 – Ella (02 Nights) 

The journey to Sri Lanka’s tea-growing highlands. You can enjoy a visit to a tea plantation to observe the process, starting from the plucking field to the factory, where the process begins.

Then enjoy one of the most unique train journeys in the world from Nanu Oya(Nuwara Eliya) to Ella. There onwards track to see Ella’s three unique landmarks, Little Adams Peak at sunrise or sunset, Ella Rock Nine Arch Bridge Train Bridge, known as the Bridge in the sky, which is one of the best examples of colonial period railway construction in the country.

                                   

Day 09 & 10 – Yala (02Nights) –

Yala National Park -Travel towards the southeast and stop at Buduruwagala to see Sri Lanka’s tallest rock-cut Buddha statue, which dates back to the 8th century AD. Yala National Park is known as the
best place to see all of Sri Lanka’s big three, Elephant, Leopard, and Water Buffalo.

                       

Day 11,12,13 & 14 -South Coast & Galle( 03Nights) –

  Enjoy the scenic south coast route to the historic city of Galle.

                       

Spent several hours wandering along the ramparts, narrow streets while exploring the 17th century Dutch Fort’s historic buildings and architecture.

                                   

Enjoy the last 3nights for a taste of Sri Lanka’s fabulous beaches around the south coast.
